Connect Beyond the Co-living Space

The Cape is home to some of the world’s premier vineyards, but the best way to experience them is together.

We’ve designed the Cape Winelands Tour to bring the Cape Town digital nomad community together for a day of exploration and conversation once a month. Whether you are currently staying at Cape Coliving or are a nomad based elsewhere in the city, you are invited to join us.

Leave the laptop behind, hop in our private shuttle, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Franschhoek and Stellenbosch wine valley.

Why Choose Our Franschhoek Wine Tour?

The Journey

Meet at the Cape Coliving Villa for a private shuttle service. No driving, no logistics, just sit back and enjoy the scenic drive with your crew.

The Taste

We visit three different wine farms for curated tastings and platters, plus a stop for a wholesome lunch, all included in your tour ticket.

The Community

With a typical group size of 10 to 20 people, we maintain an intimate dynamic where genuine connections are made.

The Feast

Aside from our lunch stop, we’ll end the day back home with a traditional braai (BBQ). We supply and cook the meat, vegetable mains, and sides so you can experience true South African culture.

The Guide

Guided by locals, our tour provides unique insights into the Winelands. We’ll take you to the best spots and show you the hidden gems of the region.

The Ease

You didn’t come to Cape Town to stress over logistics. We handle the bookings, the timing, and the route. You just show up, connect and enjoy.

Some of Our Favourite Vineyards

With multiple estates ranked among the top in the world, we’re truly spoilt for choice. Because we curate a fresh lineup for every trip, every single tour is a unique experience. Here is a glimpse into the iconic farms and boutique hidden gems that we love to explore together.

A historic Cape Dutch farm famous for its magnificent, sprawling botanical gardens and vibrant farm-to-table dining.

Bartinney

Haute Cabrière

Famous for pioneering Cap Classique (South African Champagne) in the region, this legendary Franschhoek estate offers a stunning underground cellar and breathtaking views of the valley.

La Motte

Situated in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley, this elegant and internationally renowned estate beautifully intertwines historic Cape Dutch charm, a fine art museum, and award-winning Shiraz.

Plaisir

Blending centuries of French Huguenot heritage with modern winemaking, this stunning estate is renowned for its rich red blends and sweeping mountain trails.

Vrede en Lust

Nestled at the foothills of the Simonsberg mountains, this picturesque Franschhoek estate has been producing exceptional wines and offering legendary hospitality since 1688.

More Than Just a Tasting

Step away from the city and into the story of the Cape Wine Valley, where world-class history meets our favourite South African traditions and a community that feels like home.

Curated for Connection

We designed this experience to be the ultimate pause button. It is more than a tour; it is a mobile community event. Whether you are a current resident at the Villa or a digital nomad living elsewhere in the city, you are welcome at our table.

With a group size up to 20, we skip the crowded tourist vibe in favor of genuine connection. It’s the perfect environment to meet your next travel buddy, potential co-founder, or lifelong friend—all over a glass of world-class Pinotage.

A Legacy in Every Glass

The roots of the Cape Winelands run deep—over 350 years, to be exact. With the first harvest recorded in 1659, the Western Cape is the oldest wine-producing region in the New World.

Influenced by French Huguenot refugees and Dutch settlers, the region blends Old World tradition with unique African terroir. From the dramatic mountains of Stellenbosch to the French flair of Franschhoek, we explore estates where 17th-century Cape Dutch architecture meets modern winemaking mastery.

The Sunset Braai

While standard tours end at a drop-off point, ours ends at home. Upon returning to the Cape Coliving Villa, we’ll get the fire roaring and serve up a feast of local meats, grilled vegetables, fresh sides, and traditional favourites.

In South Africa, a braai is more than just a barbecue: it’s the authentic way to close out the day, a ritual, a chance to gather around the fire, share stories, and connect.

The Rhythm of the Day

A perfectly paced day of exploration, connection, and world-class wine. Here’s how the ultimate Winelands experience unfolds.

9:00 AM

Gather at the Cape Coliving Villa. Coffee is poured, introductions are made, and the shuttle departs.

10:00 AM

We arrive in the Winelands to explore our first two curated estates, soaking in the mountain views while tasting world-class local varietals.

13:00 PM

Take a well-deserved break for a relaxed, wholesome lunch to refuel and chat.

15:00 PM

Our third and final wine farm. Savour one last tasting experience as the afternoon light starts to soften.

16:00 PM

We return to the city as the sun begins to dip. But the day isn’t over yet…

17:00 PM

Enjoy a traditional South African Sunset Braai (BBQ) at the villa. We fire up the wood, pour a final glass, and end the day the local way, around the fire.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have specific dietary requirements or allergies. Can you accommodate them?

We try our best to accommodate all dietary needs for both the lunch stop and the sunset dinner.

While the Braai is famous for its meat, we take great pride in our sides and vegetarian mains. There will be plenty of fresh salads, grilled vegetables, and vegetarian dishes to ensure no one goes hungry.

Please flag any specific allergies or requirements when you make your booking so our team can prepare in advance.

Yes! This tour is designed to connect the wider Cape Town digital nomad community. While current residents get priority booking, we love welcoming new faces. You will just need to meet us at the Cape Coliving Villa for departure.

The private shuttle departs from and returns to the Cape Coliving Villa in Green Point. If you are joining us from outside, we recommend taking an Uber to and from the Villa.

Bring comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen (the African sun is strong!), and a jacket for the evening, as it can get cool once the sun goes down. Don’t forget your camera/phone for the views!
