Join fellow digital nomads for a unique experience designed to energise your body, reset your mind, and build community through weekly hikes and comprehensive co-living. In collaboration with Lekker Hike Cape Town, we bring you curated group hikes, mindful moments in nature, and a community-focused space to get things done, all from a Cape Victorian villa in Green Point.
Find out why Cape Co-Living is the perfect spot for an immersive nature and hiking retreat.
Let’s start with the obvious. Cape Co-Living is in Green Point, one of the most walkable, scenic, and central areas in Cape Town. You’re minutes from mountain trails, the Sea Point Promenade, great coffee shops, the best restaurants in Green Point, and even the famous V&A Waterfront.
Compared to Airbnb or boutique hotels in the area, Cape Coliving is a smart and affordable option. You get a private suite, cleaning service, laundry facilities, individual and shared working spaces, and a built-in community, all at one rate, not to mention the curated hikes and activities.
One great thing about staying at Cape Co-Living is that you don’t have to pause your work to connect with nature. Fast Wi-Fi, comfortable workspaces, and quiet focus time during the day mean you can hike at sunrise, shower, grab breakfast, and still attend your 10 a.m. meeting.
Cape Co-Living embraces the art of balancing work and social life. That’s why we partner with local guides to curate exceptional hikes and nature excursions that showcase the city’s stunning landscapes. From short treks to longer hiking trails, you’ll have a front-row view of Cape Town.
There’s something magical about a co-living space with digital nomads who embrace a meaningful work-life balance. From communal dinners to spontaneous beach walks and deep chats over rooibos tea, you’ll meet like-minded people who can turn into lifetime friends.
At Cape Coliving’s hiking retreat, you’ll have a verified local hiking guide joining the adventure. They know all the best trails, like Lion’s Head and Table Mountain, and make sure everyone’s safe, comfortable, and having fun. It’s the perfect way to explore without worrying about getting lost or missing the views.
We host our hiking and nature retreat during April, and for good reason. It’s autumn season in Cape Town, a perfect time to immerse oneself in nature and reflect. The days are cooling down, but the weather is still pleasant, and the stunning landscape bursts into life.
Expect autumn colours along the trails, crisp mountain air, and spectacular sunsets that make every viewpoint feel extra special. It’s warm enough for a dip after a hike but cool enough to tackle longer climbs without overheating.
Even better? The crowds of summer have already left, so the mountains feel quieter and more personal.

Here’s a taste of the hikes you’ll experience during our April hiking retreat.
Ryon is a certified hiking guide and a longtime local of Cape Town, with deep knowledge of the area’s trails, landscapes, and culture. He runs Lekker Hike, offering guided walks around Cape Town’s most stunning routes, from well-known paths like Lion’s Head to lesser-known local favorites. During the retreat, he’ll be partnering with Cape Coliving, which means we get free access to him and his hikes, no booking needed. Ryon doesn’t just keep us safe on the trails; he also creates space for community, connection, and meaningful conversations, helping you meet like-minded people while exploring Cape Town’s natural beauty together.
Here’s what a few days at Cape Co-Living’s hiking retreat might look like:
Welcome and tour through the house and shared spaces, meet housemates, and grab a drink on the rooftop terrace. Take a light walk on the Sea Point Promenade to shake off the travel fog.
It’s an early rise, but worth it. Trek to the summit for a morning coffee and panoramic ocean views. This boost of adrenaline is a fantastic way to get your workday off to a good start.
Set the mood of the day with a morning yoga session on the rooftop. Head back to your workspace to tick off your to-do list, then wrap the day up with a relaxing sunset hike.
Perhaps clear your work schedule or at least plan for a half-day. This is an iconic hike on our hiking retreat. You’ll work your way up, occasionally stopping to take in the excellent views. At the summit, sit, reflect, and embrace the amazing nature unfolding right before your eyes.
Explore the Newlands Forest at your own pace. Choose a short amble along the river, or a longer hike along the contour path, taking in the indigenous trees and endangered fynbos. Then head back to the house for work, followed by a restorative evening yoga practice.
End subtly with a short hike to Kloof Corner, a quintessential “small effort, big rewards” hike. Return to the house for a shared lunch, where everyone brings whatever they have.
