Cape Coliving Terms of Service

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a stay at Cape Coliving and/or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

  1. Booking and Payment
  • Bookings: Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
  • Payment Methods: We accept Wire Transfer, Yoco Payments, Wise and Payoneer..
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Cancellation before 30 days of the date of arrival, 100% of the accommodation total paid, will be refunded.
    • Cancellation 30 days of date of arrival, 50% of the accommodation total paid, will be refunded.
    • Cancellation within 15 days of date of arrival 25% of the accommodation total will be refunded
    • Cancellation within 7 days of date of arrival 0% of accommodation total will be refunded.
    • In the event of a no-show, no refund will be issued.
  • Deposit Policy:
    • A refundable deposit of R5500 is required upon arrival.
    • The deposit will be returned within two weeks of your departure, pending an inspection of the room and adherence to house rules.
  1. Refund and Relocate Policy
  • Refunds: Refunds are subject to our cancellation policy and will be processed within 10 business days.
  • Non-Refundable Items: Booking fees, deposit and bank fees.
  • Unruly Behavior: In the event of unruly behavior, including but not limited to disruptive actions, excessive noise, or property damage, Cape Coliving reserves the right to relocate the guest to alternative accommodation or evict them without a refund.

We want everyone to enjoy their stay and feel like part of our community. To ensure a harmonious living environment, we ask that all guests adhere to the following rules:

Respect for Others:

  • Noise: Keep noise levels down, especially during quiet hours (10 pm – 8 am). No loud music or parties.
  • Shared Spaces: Clean up after yourself in the kitchen, lounge, and other common areas.
  • Guests: You’re welcome to have guests, but please inform us in advance. No overnight guests without prior approval.
  • Communication: If you have concerns, communicate them respectfully to staff or other guests.

Keeping Things Clean and Tidy:

  • Dishes: Wash your dishes promptly or place them in the dishwasher.
  • Laundry: Use the laundry facilities responsibly and be mindful of others’ schedules.
  • Trash and Recycling: Dispose of your waste properly in designated bins.
  • Rooms: Keep your room tidy and free of clutter.

Safety and Security:

  • Lock Up: Always lock your room door when you leave, even if it’s just for a short time.
  • Valuables: We provide secure storage for valuables, but we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  • Fire Safety: Familiarize yourself with the fire exits and evacuation procedures.
  • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. Please use designated outdoor areas.

Additional Considerations:

  • Alcohol: Please consume alcohol responsibly and be mindful of others.
  • Drugs: Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on the premises.
  • Sustainability: Help us conserve resources by turning off lights, unplugging electronics, and using water wisely.
  1. Liability Policy
  • Personal Belongings: Cape Coliving is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings. We recommend obtaining travel insurance.
  • Injuries: Cape Coliving is not liable for any personal injuries sustained on the premises. Guests use the facilities at their own risk.
  1. Media Release

By staying at Cape Coliving, you grant us permission to use photos and videos taken of you in public spaces (e.g., common areas, events) for marketing and promotional purposes on our website and social media channels. If you do not wish to be included, please notify us in writing.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.

  1. Amendments

Cape Coliving reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website.
